2nd Line Desktop Support Analyst

Location: Essex
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + benefits
Type: Permanent, full-time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced 2nd Line Desktop Support Analyst to join a well-established organisation in the construction and property services sector, based at their head office in Essex.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to join a stable and supportive IT team, working across a variety of technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide 2nd line support for hardware, software, and network issues, including Windows 10/11, Office 365, printers, and mobile devices

  • Act as an escalation point from the 1st line support team

  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and mobile device problems

  • Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange

  • Support remote access solutions and Microsoft 365 applications

  • Liaise with third-party vendors as required

  • Log and track all incidents and service requests accurately

  • Contribute to IT projects and system upgrades

Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a 2nd line IT support role, ideally within a multi-site environment

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, and Exchange

  • Familiarity with remote access tools such as VPN and RDP

  • Knowledge of mobile device support (iOS, Android)

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
