Are you an experienced IT Manager, Senior IT Consultant or Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys being more than just the person who fixes the problem?
We're looking for an IT Consultant to work closely with a key client, acting as their on-site IT lead and trusted technical advisor. This is a genuinely varied role where you'll combine hands-on technical expertise, consultancy, project delivery and stakeholder management.
- Work on-site with a key client 4-5 days per week
- Act as the consultative IT Manager / Engineer for the client
- Review and improve cloud, hybrid and on-premises IT environments
- Identify technical debt and recommend improvements
- Deliver infrastructure projects and implement change
- Support IT strategy, roadmaps and continuous improvement
- Work closely with senior client stakeholders and technology teams
- Take ownership of issues and drive them through to resolution
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as an on-site IT Manager or Senior Consultant
- Strong Microsoft infrastructure knowledge, including M365, Azure, Active Directory and Windows environments
- Experience with virtualisation such as Hyper-V or VMware
- Good networking knowledge - firewalls, VPNs and VLANs
- Experience across backup/DR and hosted Exchange environments
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- A consultative approach, with the ability to translate technical issues into business-focused recommendations
- A full UK driving licence
- At least one relevant Microsoft Associate-level certification, such as AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-700, AZ-140 or SC-300
You'll need to be proactive, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership, with the communication skills to work confidently with everyone from technical teams through to senior business stakeholders.
If you're looking for a role where you can really own the client relationship, influence their technology strategy and make a tangible difference, we'd love to hear from you.
