As part of the production team of a global manufacturing company, this role will offer the opportunity to operate highly automated, moulding and assembly equipment within a fast moving, high volume, production environment for the manufacture of Plastic Trigger Sprayers. Reporting to the shift Supervisor you will be responsible for the operation of production machinery, manual handling and quality inspection of components on a rotating shift pattern.
Duties will include:
- Quality checks to be carried out and logged on operator QA sheets.
- Faults to be noted and reported to supervisor including time for repair and extra vigilance when emptying collection bins.
- Rejects found on shift to be reported to shift Supervisor and QA immediately for immediate action.
- Machine alarms to be acted on urgently.
- Responsible for housekeeping in own area.
- Required to carry out overtime (at Company’s discretion) to cover sickness, holiday and weekend work.
Essential criteria:
- 1 years factory experience within the last 3 years.
- Good standard of education.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work continental shifts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate team working ability.
Desirable criteria:
- Health & Safety qualification.
