Our Maintenance Technicians work closely with the cluster’s General Manager and Deputy General Manager to ensure customer’s ad-hoc requests are completed, as well as working alongside the Operations Assistant to ensure buildings are safe, PPM’s and compliance logs are kept up to date and are secure and in good condition/working order.
You’ll be responsible for attending reactive maintenance issues and owning general facilities upkeep across the buildings in our Central portfolio (mainly Holborn and Farringdon). And, not only resolving issues assigned to you via FreshDesk ticketing system, but also identifying issues or improvements to the buildings each week to maximise our customer’s experience.
You will:
- Achieve and maintain excellent standards of Facilities Management in all buildings in your cluster; carrying out regular walkthroughs and raising tickets proactively before customers.
- Maintain the buildings to a high standard ensuring they are safe, secure and in good decorative / operational order.
- Undertake general maintenance duties, including minor decorative works, first-fix repairs to fixtures/fittings and building services including HVAC/Electrical adjustments.
- Identify issues that require an external contractor’s input and escalating accordingly.
- Carry out regular health & safety and statutory compliance checks (e.g. weekly fire tests, water temperature testing etc) to ensure all Canvas buildings provide a safe working environment for our customers and undertake remedial works where possible.
- Where required, supervise and coordinate access for external contractors on site, and ensure that works are undertaken to the required standard and quality.
About you
You’re a team player who is excited about growing with a company and learning new skills. You have a flexible mindset and can problem solve in a creative way. You’re friendly and have worked in a client facing role previously.
You have:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant facilities experience within commercial buildings.
- Basic experience in mechanical, electrical and fabric work.
- Technical training would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience working with building management systems.
- Experience working in a multiple building environment.
- Basic IT knowledge (as this will help you use our ticketing software ‘FreshDesk’).
