Do you want to create an impact? Are you an experienced business development professional with a proven track record of identifying opportunities and building lasting client relationships? Canvas8 is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative to join our Sales Enablement team in London. As a Business Development Representative, you'll take a leading role in driving our growth by connecting with target personas across global brands and the agencies they work with.

You'll already have a background in business development and strong communication skills, and you'll have the opportunity to elevate your expertise and make a tangible impact on our success. At Canvas8, we foster an inclusive and supportive workplace where your experience and insights will be valued, and you'll have the freedom to contribute meaningfully to a collaborative, ambitious team as we continue to grow our global presence.

About The Role: As a Business Development Representative, you'll be a driving force behind our sales outreach, connecting with exciting new clients and playing a key role in Canvas8's growth. Your focus? Targeting and engaging with key prospects within global insight and innovation teams and advertising agencies - specifically, those working with the brands we're featuring on our Brand Pages throughout 2025.

Day-to-day:

  • Identify and qualify target prospects within global insights teams and advertising agencies (global, independent, and local specialists) aligned with our Brand Pages.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns via email, phone, social media, and other relevant channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients through consistent and personalised communication.
  • Schedule introductory calls and meetings for our sales team to do further discovery around their challenges and position how our portfolio of solutions meets their needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales leadership to develop and refine outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Effectively utilise CRM software to manage leads, track progress, and maintain accurate records of all sales activities.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to prospect identification, outreach activities, contacts made, meetings booked, opportunities qualified, and orders closed.

About You: You're a curious and resourceful individual who thrives on uncovering opportunities others might miss. You have a sharp eye for detail and love diving deep into research to identify high-potential prospects. People describe you as personable, approachable, and excellent at building rapport - whether through a compelling email, an engaging phone call, or a professional social media interaction.

One of your greatest strengths is your communication skills. You know how to tailor your messaging to resonate with diverse audiences, ensuring your outreach is both authentic and impactful. You thrive in a structured environment and have a systematic approach to managing your workload, ensuring no lead falls through the cracks. Beyond your organisational skills, you're tenacious and results-driven. Challenges don't discourage you - they motivate you to find creative solutions. You're not afraid to try new approaches, iterate on strategies, and persist until you succeed.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within a B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software - ideally Hubspot - as well as other sales enablement tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of the market research or insights industry is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working (2 days at the office) with flexible start times.
  • 29 days paid holiday (including bank holidays).
  • Interest-free ‘Life Unlock Loan' for lump sum payments (rental deposits, sponsorship etc).
  • A personalised career development plan.
  • Access to physical and mental wellbeing support, including two ‘Mental Wealth' days.
  • Pension, life insurance, cashback private health plan, and cycle scheme.
  • Summer Fridays, seasonal benefits, and lots of staff socials.
  • A friendly and welcoming team (pooches included).
