The Studio is a small, design-led property developer that works across prime residential projects, combining development, interior design, and project delivery under one roof. Their work ranges from significant private homes to high-end multi-unit residential schemes, approached holistically from early acquisition and concept through to completion. Recent projects include a substantial Chelsea townhouse involving façade retention, basement excavation, and sensitive heritage detailing, alongside an ultra-prime apartment development in Surrey.

As an in-house team, they are commercially aware but design-driven, with a strong focus on thoughtful layouts, beautifully resolved detailing, and homes that feel both elevated and genuinely liveable.

This is an opportunity for a midweight or senior interior designer to join a close-knit team and take a central role across high-end residential projects from concept through to completion. The role offers unusually broad exposure to the full life of a project, from early design direction and feasibility through to technical delivery, procurement, and site.

You will contribute across interior architecture and FF&E, developing concepts, preparing presentation material, sourcing finishes and furniture, producing detailed drawing packages, and coordinating information with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers. There will be a strong emphasis on bespoke joinery, materiality, specification, and ensuring design intent is carried through carefully into delivery.

This would suit a designer who is ready to take real ownership, enjoys being close to the realisation of a project, and can balance creative ambition with practical and commercial considerations. Within a small, ambitious business, you will have the opportunity to make a visible contribution and play a meaningful role in shaping the final outcome of each project.

The Candidate:

  • Midweight or senior-level experience within high-end residential interior design
  • Strong understanding of both interior architecture and FF&E
  • Experience working on projects from concept through to completion
  • Confident developing mood boards, reference imagery, presentation material, and design concepts
  • Experience sourcing materials, finishes, furniture, decorative lighting, and accessories
  • Ability to produce design intent, technical construction drawings, and detailed joinery packages
  • Comfortable preparing specifications, schedules, and coordinated project information
  • Experience reviewing supplier information, samples, prototypes, and shop drawings
  • Confident liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and suppliers
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and contribute across multiple live projects
  • Commercially aware and comfortable working within a developer-led environment
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to work within a small team and take ownership of key workstreams
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks is preferred
