Where and how you can work: Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on London so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing. This role is a 6 month engagement, working full-time hours.

What you’d be doing in this role: As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. We’re looking for a Brand Designer (Growth Marketing) to join Canva on a 6-month contract. In this role, you’ll focus on performance creative production, delivering ad assets, UGC edits, and lifecycle visuals for our EMEA market. You’ll work on both always-on creative sprints across paid channels such as Meta, TikTok, and Google Display, and campaign deliverables across owned channels such as lifecycle emails and app store assets. You’ll collaborate with marketers on creative concepts and ad visuals, ensuring outputs are both on-brand and optimized for performance.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Assisting in monthly creative sprint ad assets in both static and motion/video format
  • Designing for UGC/lo-fi style video sprints and experiments (e.g. hook and CTA testing, editing)
  • Assisting with copy for GIF/banners and app marketing assets for always-on creative refreshers and local seasonal campaigns
  • Emailing, in-app, and app storefront campaign banners to support local campaigns and experiments
  • Writing, reviewing, and dreaming up ideas for Canva’s brand, product, and performance campaigns
  • Supporting campaigns from the initial idea to final execution, always staying true to Canva’s brand and strategy
  • Confidently pitching concepts and presenting your work to senior creative leaders, product marketers, and key stakeholders with a clear creative vision and strategic reasoning
  • Collaborating with external partners, sharing guidance and feedback to keep messaging consistent and high-quality
  • Working closely with the Creative Director to ensure schedules are accurate and realistic and that deadlines are met

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and adapt static, video, and motion ads across Meta, TikTok, Google, and Display
  • Edit and optimize UGC videos for ad sprints
  • Collaborate with marketers to translate strategy and insights into effective creatives
  • Contribute to conceptualization for growth marketing campaigns and lifecycle assets
  • Ensure all outputs are optimized for channel specs, on-brand, and localized for EMEA market
  • Share creative learnings and insights to strengthen future testing and production

As part of the International Marketing Group, our PerMer Marketing team drives Canva's growth by blending global strategies with hyperlocal insights. We aim to create meaningful connections with users in EMEA through local campaigns, localized moments, and evergreen creative initiatives across performance marketing, brand, events, partnerships, social, community engagement, and other growth channels. The designer will work directly with the PerMer Creative Growth Marketing team, supporting the creation of engaging, locally resonant creative content that amplifies our presence in EMEA.
