Responsibilities
- Lead the SEO strategy across Pexels and Pixabay — driving long-term, sustainable growth through search.
- Own technical SEO architecture: optimize internal linking, crawlability, page performance, structured data, and indexation across millions of programmatic pages.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to shape roadmaps that improve SEO foundations without compromising user experience or platform performance.
- Integrate SEO strategy with product development, ensuring new experiences — such as AI search interfaces — are optimized for SEO.
- Prepare platforms for discovery in LLM-driven search: optimize entity relationships, structured data, canonicalization, and embedding strategies to increase relevance in conversational and generative search engines.
- Audit, diagnose, and resolve complex SEO issues—from content duplication to JavaScript rendering to international targeting.
- Build scalable systems to monitor search visibility, page performance, crawl health, and competitive benchmarking.
- Stay ahead of algorithm updates and search interface shifts, particularly those driven by Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT-style browsing, and vertical-specific LLM agents.
You\'re probably a match if
- You have deep expertise in technical and programmatic SEO, ideally for platforms with large-scale content libraries like media libraries, marketplaces, or aggregators.
- You’ve managed millions of landing pages and owned the end-to-end SEO infrastructure that supports them.
- You understand SEO data pipelines, structured data (such as Schema.org), and how crawl and index mechanics work at scale.
- You collaborate fluently with engineering and product teams, and can build a strong business case for SEO investments.
- You’re comfortable using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Log File Analysis, BigQuery, or similar.
- You thrive in ambiguity and know how to drive SEO strategy forward in fast-changing environments.

We’re looking for a strategic and highly technical Programmatic SEO Lead to lead the development, optimization, and evolution of search-driven user acquisition across two of the world’s largest platforms for free visual content: Pexels and Pixabay. This role isn’t about content calendars or writing blog posts — it’s about designing and scaling programmatic SEO architecture that serves millions of search pages, supports massive content libraries, and adapts to rapid product development. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure our search footprint is healthy, resilient, and constantly improving — bringing new users and creators to our platforms at scale.
