About the Group/Team
Marketingâs mission at Canva is for Canva to become âthe most loved brand in the worldâ. Canvaâs International Marketing Group is a diverse and distributed group of marketers who take this mission forward to drive user growth, brand awareness, and affinity in our priority international markets.
As part of the International Marketing Group, our Europe Marketing team is responsible for driving market-specific growth goals and comprehensive market strategies across Europe across a variety of functions – performance marketing, brand, events, partnerships, social, community engagement and other growth channels.
What youâll do
As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that\’s all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you\’ll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Paving the way for Partnerships to contribute to Europe Marketingâs Crazy Big Goals, namely strong MAU growth and driving consideration of Canva as a tool for work
- Building structure around our Partnerships (inclusive of partner events) plans, building frameworks and playbooks to ensure maximum impact, relevance and execution quality
- Acting as main POC in key partnership conversation, working in close partnership with local Growth Marketing Managers to ensure on the ground execution feels âtruly localâ
- Managing partnership commercials closely, leading negotiations and ensuring cross functional stakeholders (Finance, Sales etc) integrated into planning as needed
- Planning with Canvaâs âTwo Step Planâ in mind, always looking for opportunities for our partnerships and activations to serve as a Force For Good
- Primarily focused on a B2C audience, but maintaining a close partnership with Canvaâs B2B team to ensure partnerships with Event owners are aligned to regional strategic priorities in order to drive maximum impact and brand exposure from every dollar invested
What weâre looking for
- You have senior leadership experience brokering partnerships, sponsoring across Europe, ideally within a start up/scale up environment
- You have a proven track record of delivering successful commercial partnerships with brands that would serve as a good fit for Canva
- You have experience working within the SME / Knowledge Worker & Consumer space (MLB/Enterprise is a plus)
- You enjoy designing commercial structures, yet appreciate the critical need for brand synergy
- Bonus: You have designed Owned & Paid Event Sponsorships, aligned to strategic goals at various stages of the Marketing funnel
