Where and how you can work

Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on London so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing. This role is a 6-month engagement, working full-time hours per week.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Building event pages and registration flows in SplashThat and Canva's CMS to specifications provided by event stakeholders, ensuring naming conventions, taxonomy, and data flow are set up correctly for downstream system integration.
  • Performing QA on event builds completed by other team members and self-service builders, checking targeting accuracy, content rendering, compliance setup, and integration readiness.
  • Managing the SplashThat license rotation process, coordinating with stakeholders to switch user access on and off as needed to maximise coverage within our license allocation.
  • Performing ongoing maintenance of the SplashThat platform, including improvements to themes, templates, forms, and localisation configurations.
  • Building and reviewing emails in Dyspatch and Braze, including setting up audience segments, populating localised content into templates, and configuring send logic.
  • Supporting intake and triage of build requests through our ticketing queue, providing clear communication on production timelines and flagging compliance risks where self-service builders may have introduced issues.

You're probably a match if

  • You have experience in event technology, email marketing operations, or MarTech platform operations.
  • Familiarity with tools like SplashThat, Braze, Dyspatch, or similar event/email platforms is a plus but not required.
  • You don't need to have used our exact tools before, but you should be comfortable learning new platforms quickly and working within precise technical constraints.
  • You have strong attention to detail, especially when working with data naming, taxonomy, and compliance configurations where precision matters.
  • You're highly detail-oriented and enjoy working within systems, processes, and technical requirements where accuracy matters.
  • You have experience working with ticketing systems and managing a queue of build requests with clear communication to stakeholders.
  • You have the ability to work shift hours and collaborate effectively across time zones, with strong written communication skills for async collaboration.
  • You have an automation mindset: you look for ways to create scalable solutions and reduce manual repetition.
  • You have an understanding of—or enthusiasm to learn about—GDPR, consent management, and global privacy requirements.
