Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire is looking for a dedicated and meticulous candidate, to help coordinate our financial reporting and ensure our compliance with accounting and charity regulations.
We have grown considerably in the last five years, in response to the Cost of Living crisis, and the severe pressures placed on our clients. Additionally in 2024, we expanded to cover the Mansfield District, which has placed further pressure as the numbers of staff, projects and expenditure has increased.
There are two main areas of responsibilities for the role. Firstly, you will be working with our Senior Management Team and Trustee Board to update them on our financial position and assist in budget setting. You will also work with our Bid Development Officer to cost and begin delivery on new projects. The second part of the role is regarding overseeing, improving and inputting to QuickBooks Online alongside our Finance Officer. In particular attention must be paid to ensure that expenditure is correctly assigned to relevant projects, and that our spend is tracked against projections. As a charity with a turnover that exceed one million pounds annually, we must undertake a full independent audit each year.
As a Local Citizens Advice, we also must report regularly to our national body and funders, who ensure that we are solvent, and transparent. You will be responsible for maintaining this relationship and ensuring that our reports are accurate and timely.
Our main office is located in Worksop , we give advice from Mansfield, Worksop and Retford and at outreach locations. We are friendly, dedicated, stable and receive consistently excellent marks in quality audits, staff surveys and client satisfaction surveys.
In this role, we expect around half of your time to be spent in our Worksop office, with the remaining time optional between our office or your home.
