What you’d be doing in this role:

  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality code for our data workflow components.
  • Build interfaces that help users format, transform, and structure their data effectively for visualisation.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to create user-friendly data preparation tools that non-technical users can easily understand.

You’re probably a match if:

  • You have experience with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on building interactive user interfaces and have experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (React preferred).
  • You have hands-on experience using AI in coding to drive greater impact.
  • You bring a strong understanding of data structures and manipulation principles.
  • You have solid knowledge of CI/CD systems (scripts, repositories, building agents, etc.).
  • You have prior experience building intuitive interfaces for complex operations.
  • You can showcase the ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively across teams outside of engineering (e.g., product managers, designers).
  • You ideally also have some experience with data transformation tools or libraries.

About the team:

Got an eye for clean code and a passion for making data easy to work with? We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer who can help transform how users interact with and prepare their data for visualisation. Our Data Workflows team focuses on the journey from raw data to visualisation formats, building intuitive interfaces that make data manipulation accessible to everyone. In this role, you’ll work on the vital data preparation side of visualisation, creating components that help users clean, transform, and structure their data effectively. You’ll build interfaces that allow users to format their data correctly, create relationships between data points, and prepare it for compelling visual storytelling through our Charts library. AI and machine learning have the potential to greatly increase the accessibility of data preparation and visualisation techniques to data-shy users. You’ll help us develop smart tools that automatically suggest improvements to data structure, identify patterns, and make the process of getting from raw data to beautiful visualisation seamless and intuitive.
