Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, with additional hubs across the globe, including London. This is a hybrid role; you must be able to commute to our London office 1‑2 times a week.

At Canva, our Higher Education Account Executive team helps educational institutions create stunning visual content. Our sales consultants are passionate about education and understand the unique needs of higher‑education institutions.

As a Higher Education Account Executive, you will manage the end‑to‑end university lifecycle across our DACH territory. You will partner with Customer Success, onboard universities, and drive long‑term engagement and growth. This relationship‑driven role requires strategic sales thinking and deep user‑understanding to expand adoption, improve retention, and achieve revenue targets.

Responsibilities
  • Own the university lifecycle: strategy, planning, execution, and results.
  • Build relationships with university administration, onboarding staff, professors, and students.
  • Run a predictable business delivering a customer transformation strategy focused on educational outcomes.
  • Establish close relationships with educators and learners to understand their needs.
  • Identify trends and usage patterns using data analysis to inform future product and marketing plans.
  • Drive retention and engagement, continuously iterating on the lifecycle strategy.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the Higher Education market; ability to communicate with Instructional Technology Specialists and professors.
  • Fluency in German is required; English fluency is also essential.
  • Sales expertise in education software solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
  • Experience implementing new technologies in institutional settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, simplifying complex ideas.
  • Strong business planning and project execution abilities.
  • Knowledge of community management and educational engagement tactics.
