CAD Engineer

My client is a hugely successful wastewater engineering solutions company, part of a globally leading wastewater enterprise. To perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining and upgrading CAD models. The ideal candidate will design, develop and engineer high quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools. They will also have the ability to produce designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation and timing. All work carried out will be in compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards.

Responsibilities

• Designing wastewater equipment, pipework, and access solutions.
• Generate 3D drawings.
• Generate fabrication drawings.
• Develop and maintain 3D models (using Autodesk Inventor), utilising supplier drawings plus industry standard pipework/component specifications and dimensions.
• Maintain the drawings register and tracker.
• Meet deadlines and department KPIs.
• Attending design review meetings when required.

Experience and Skills

Required

• Autodesk Inventor 2+ years’ experience.
• Autodesk AutoCAD (2D) 2+ years’ experience.
• Autodesk Vault.
• Good communication skills, both in written correspondence and client‑facing meetings.
• Excellent planning and organisation skills.
• Attention to detail and a dynamic approach.
• Familiarity with the standard Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Full UK driving licence.

Advantageous

• I‑logic (Inventor).
• Experience working within the Water/ Wastewater industry.
