My client is a hugely successful Engineering Solutions provider in the wastewater sector working with some of the UK’s most recognised Utilities companies as well as an array of other clients in the water industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our dynamic team in the wastewater industry.
As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the customer base within the Midlands region. Your primary focus will be to drive sales, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the wastewater industry, specifically targeting the Midlands region. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Account Management: Proactively upsell and cross-sell products and services to increase account value. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the wastewater sector. Identify potential market gaps and collaborate with the product development team to introduce new offerings.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue tracking. Prepare regular sales reports and present findings to the management team.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and engineering, to align sales strategies and ensure seamless execution.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). Proven track record in sales and account management within the wastewater industry or a related field. Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Position comes with £650pm car allowance, bonus and additional company benefits.
