Business Development Director – Wastewater Solutions – Wessex / South West Or Midlands My client is a hugely successful Engineering Solutions provider in the wastewater sector working with some of the UK’s most recognised Utilities companies as we as an array of other clients in the water industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our dynamic team in the wastewater industry. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the customer base within either the South West of England, Wessex or Midlands regions . Your primary focus will be to drive sales, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the wastewater industry, specifically targeting either the South West or Midlands regions. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, acting as their primary point of contact. Understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Proactively upsell and cross-sell products and services to increase account value. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the wastewater sector. Identify potential market gaps and collaborate with the product development team to introduce new offerings. Negotiation and Proposals: Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, negotiate contract terms, and close deals. Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements and align them with company capabilities. Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer support by resolving inquiries, addressing concerns, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering technical expertise and guidance. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including pipeline management, forecasting, and revenue tracking. Prepare regular sales reports and present findings to the management team. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and engineering, to align sales strategies and ensure seamless execution. Foster a positive team spirit and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
