We are launching an exciting new employability pathway – Careers of Tomorrow – designed to support people with learning disabilities and autism to gain real work experience and progress into paid employment across our growing services, beginning with the brand-new Conference Centre. We are looking for Employment Pathways Assessors to co‑produce, develop and deliver a suite of new AQAs, practical skills sessions and learning experiences that equip supported employees with everything they need to succeed. This is not a traditional life skills post – this is a chance to shape an entire employability programme from the ground up. To start, it is a fixed‑term contract for 12 weeks, working 12 hours a week, with it then becoming a 0‑hour flexible contract after the 12 weeks are up. This will be reviewed, with the potential to extend the 12 hours a week for longer if necessary. You will be working flexible hours across daytime, evenings and/or weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑develop a full set of Careers of Tomorrow AQAs to include, but not be exhaustive:
- Room setup, pack down & cleaning
- Conference layouts & accessible map‑based instructions
- Panty & hospitality support
- Meet and greet roles and carpark directing
- Health & safety (manual handling, fire procedures, hygiene)
- Catering‑related skills (with support from the Catering Team)
About You
We are seeking people who can bring creativity, structure, and positivity to this brand-new programme. You will ideally have:
- Experience delivering structured training or education (formal teaching qualifications welcome but not essential)
- Understanding of learning disabilities, autism and person‑centred approaches
- Ability to create accessible, visual, task‑mapped training materials
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to innovate in a brand new service
- Compassion, patience and commitment to supporting people into paid work
- Experience in hospitality, events, catering, or facilities is desirable but not essential.
