Are you an experienced Catering Supervisor with a passion for delivering great food and outstanding customer service? Do you want to use your skills in a role that not only runs a busy kitchen but also makes a real difference in the community? At Canterbury Oast Trust, we are looking for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at the Granary Restaurant and catering outlets within the Rare Breeds Centre.

You’ll support the Catering Manager with the daily running of our catering operations, lead a team of staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service. This is a varied role where no two days are the same – from preparing and serving food, supervising staff, and managing stock, to supporting adults with learning disabilities who train and work alongside us in the kitchen. You’ll also deputise for the Catering Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth operations across the department.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least two years’ experience as a Catering Supervisor.
  • Formal catering qualifications (e.g. NVQ 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Experience or knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • A clean, current driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a flexible, hands‑on approach.

What we offer:

  • Full‑time contract with annualised hours (working patterns vary in winter, details discussed at interview).
  • Excellent training and development opportunities.
  • The chance to be part of a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities, where your role makes a real difference.

About us: Canterbury Oast Trust (COT) supports adults with learning disabilities across Kent through residential services, day opportunities, and life skills training. Our Rare Breeds Centre is a working farm and visitor attraction where our values of Be Courageous, Seek Opportunities, Work Together guide everything we do.

How to apply: If you are enthusiastic, motivated, and ready to bring your catering experience to a role that blends food service with purpose, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and join a team that delivers more than great food – we deliver opportunities, dignity, and achievement.
