We are looking for a full-time Catering Assistant to support our busy catering operations. This role is offered on annualised hours and comes with a salary of £23,907 per year.
About the Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will contribute to the smooth daily running of our restaurant, seasonal catering cabin and kiosk. You will help prepare food and drinks, provide warm, efficient service, and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and safety across all catering areas. You will play an important role in creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for our visitors, supporting busy service periods, and assisting with events throughout the year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing food and beverages in line with menu standards and food safety requirements
- Serving customers politely and professionally to ensure a positive experience for every visitor
- Working independently in our seasonal catering cabin and kiosk when required
- Supporting service during busy periods and seasonal peaks
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all kitchen and customer areas
- Following allergen procedures and health and safety guidelines
- Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries and general organisation
- Working collaboratively as part of the catering and visitor services team
About You
You will bring a positive, reliable and customer-focused approach to your work.

- Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays and peak times
- Basic awareness of food hygiene and safety (training available)
- Experience within catering or hospitality
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate or willingness to undertake training
- Experience working in a high-volume environment such as a café, restaurant or visitor attraction
A criminal records check will be required, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A driving licence is desirable.
