Job Purpose Summary: To operate Wire CNC machinery and undertake all engineering aspects of the press tool room manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
- Operate all aspects of CNC wire erosion machinery in line with identified priorities and to design specifications provided.
- Contribute to CNC wire erosion process in line with identified priorities and to design specifications provided.
- Programming 3D CAD/CAM using VISI.
- Contribute to all tool making finishing operations to include grinding.
- Input of tool design stage on manufacturing processes and suitable designs of wire punch blocks and die insert blocks and block holding criteria.
- Make recommendations for resolution of issues and liaise with Designer on implementation.
- Ensure a safe working environment within own workspace.
- Adhere to all ISO9001 processes and controls in place.
- Notify via Near Miss Process of any health and safety issues observed across the shop floor.
- Any other reasonable request made by the Managing Director.
Experience in one or more of the following:
- At least 2 years experience within a similar role
- Wire CNC machine – 4 axis
- CAD/CAM
- Tool making process
- Manual machinery e.g. grinders
Skill Requirements: Delivery focused, with a drive for quality throughout.
