Are you an experienced Catering Supervisor with a passion for delivering great food and outstanding customer service? Do you want to use your skills in a role that not only runs a busy kitchen but also makes a real difference in the community? At Canterbury Oast Trust, we are looking for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at the Granary Restaurant and catering outlets within the Rare Breeds Centre.
You'll support the Catering Manager with the daily running of our catering operations, lead a team of staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service. This is a varied role where no two days are the same - from preparing and serving food, supervising staff, and managing stock, to supporting adults with learning disabilities who train and work alongside us in the kitchen. You'll also deputise for the Catering Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth operations across the department.
What we're looking for:
- At least two years' experience as a Catering Supervisor.
- Formal catering qualifications (e.g. NVQ 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
- Experience or knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities.
- A clean, current driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
- Compassion, empathy, and a flexible, hands-on approach.
