Canterbury Environment Company Ltd (Canenco) is looking for a skilled ICT professional to take ownership of technology services within our company that works closely with the public sector
Reporting to the Managing Director and accountable to the Senior Management Team, this is a role a high-impact role requiring excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels.
What you\'ll be doing
You\’ll lead Canenco\’s ICT and digital services, making sure our systems, data and technology are secure, resilient and working effectively for the business. From managing suppliers and cyber risks to shaping digital improvements and advising senior leaders, you\’ll play a key role in ensuring technology supports reliable, efficient frontline services.
What we\'re looking for
You\’ll be an experienced ICT and digital leader who can manage complex technology services, suppliers, contracts and budgets, while driving service improvement and technology-enabled change. You\’ll bring strong knowledge of business systems, information management, risk, governance and compliance, with the confidence to advise senior leaders and support secure, resilient services in a regulated or public-sector environment.

Canenco is wholly owned by Canterbury City Council and delivers waste collection, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and public convenience services across the Canterbury Council district. Our services are highly visible, front-line services that benefit everyone who lives, works and visits the district.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm. This role is based at the Canenco depot in Wincheap, Canterbury. There may be occasional opportunities for homeworking, subject to operational requirements.
