Canterbury Environment Company Ltd (Canenco) is looking for an experienced and proactive Finance & Business Support Coordinator to join our growing team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Support Services and working closely with the Procurement Manager and Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations, procurement activities and business reporting processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working with data, improving processes and providing high-quality financial information to support business decision-making. The role combines day-to-day financial administration with reporting, analysis and business support responsibilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the delivery of financial and procurement processes across the company.
  • Producing financial and operational reports using Xero and Microsoft Excel.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial controls.
  • Processing journals, reconciliations and supplier transactions.
  • Supporting cashflow forecasting, VAT returns and audit requirements.
  • Analysing operational and financial data to support management decision-making.
  • Working independently to investigate and resolve financial queries.

What we're looking for

  • AAT Level 3 (or equivalent accounting, finance or business-related qualification).
  • Experience working in a finance or accounting environment.
  • Strong experience using accounting software, ideally Xero.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work with minimal supervision.

This role is based at the Canenco depot in Wincheap, Canterbury. There may be occasional opportunities for homeworking, subject to operational requirements.
