About the Role
Working closely with deaneries, parishes, and their leadership teams, you will:
- Identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving.
- Share innovative giving practices to support parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.
- Communicate the principles of Christian giving clearly and inspiringly to a variety of audiences.
- Keep up-to-date with national church resources including the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving.
- Offer guidance to parish officers for resources on giving campaigns, legacies, and grant funding.
Typically, you will operate during office hours but will need to adjust your working pattern in order to meet with parishes in the evenings and/or occasionally attend their Sunday worship, so the ability to travel to remote locations and work flexibly is a necessity.
About You
You will bring:
- A degree-level education or ministry experience.
- A strong understanding of church life and the financial/missional challenges facing parishes, particularly in rural settings.
- Experience planning, advising on, and leading giving or fundraising programmes in a not-for-profit or charitable context.
- A clear understanding of the Christian principles of giving and an ability to communicate them effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with a collaborative and motivational approach.
- Creativity and solution-focused thinking to inspire generosity across diverse traditions and settings.
