About you, the ideal Central Control Room Operator:

What we are looking for, in a Central Control Room Operator, is you clearly demonstrate, from previous roles and life experiences, that you:

  • Have very good communication skills, listening, speaking, as well as written/typed for recording information that may need to be used in the future.
  • Can accurately and timely enter and retrieve information on electronic recording systems, as well as using email.
  • Have experience of working within established policies and procedures.
  • Can work flexibly as the job is not Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
  • Can be an effective member of a team in a supportive team environment.

It is the person, and their skills and abilities to support Central Control we are looking for. This could be demonstrated from having worked in another control room, or similar, but this is not essential as experience can be transferable and some specific skills learnt.

Please note, applicants must either have a current SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance Licence or be able to secure this within an agreed timeframe with our support, and this licence must be maintained whilst in post. Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances and pass Kent Police vetting.
