The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a Wellbeing Officer to join our London campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct well-being meetings with the students in order to discuss their problems.
  • Analyse and identify well-being cases and share a report with the Wellbeing Manager.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and information related to student wellbeing and pastoral care, and offer support to students who are experiencing emotional or practical difficulties affecting their learning.
  • Manage a caseload of student well-being matters, review support needs, log student outcomes, and communicate with tutors and other central services.
  • Help the Wellbeing Manager deliver workshops, webinars, and awareness-raising events.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other teams to establish, maintain, and develop productive relationships with colleagues across the University in order to support service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Plan and organise own workload and contribute to longer-term plans/programmes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology, Education or related subjects.
  • Willingness to train in Mental Health First Aid.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Works collaboratively with others.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement.
  • Sensitivity and empathy with students, colleagues and staff.
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters and act with discretion.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's in psychology or a Mental Health qualification.
  • Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Evidence of working with a diversity of students.
  • Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
