The Student Governance Team within Academic Registry plays a vital role in enhancing the student experience and supporting continuous improvement across the University. The team maintains clear and transparent policies for key student-facing processes, including Student Complaints, Academic Appeals, Student Conduct, Academic Misconduct, and Fitness to Practise. They conduct thorough and objective investigations to support fair, evidence-based decision-making and resolution.

The Case Coordination Team is responsible for coordinating both Academic Misconduct and Fitness to Practise cases. They liaise with staff across the University, ensuring adherence to published service level agreements. The team also provides administrative support to the Case Handling and Investigations Teams, including arranging meetings and note-taking.

We are seeking a Case Coordinator and Administrator to join the Case Coordination Team within Student Governance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with experience supporting boards or committees to develop their skills in a specialist area. Your work will support the University\’s regulatory responsibilities and uphold high standards of conduct, integrity, and accountability. As part of a newly established team, there will be opportunities to identify and improve processes.

To be successful, you should have experience in higher education administration, supporting the timely and smooth completion of tasks. Strong customer service skills, professionalism in liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining confidentiality are essential. Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail are vital. The ability to make sound decisions and escalate issues when necessary is also important. Full training on University processes and systems will be provided.

How will you work?

We support flexible working methods. Campus attendance may vary daily and throughout the year. The post currently requires at least two days per week on campus, with specific days determined by team schedules and subject to change based on scheduled meetings.
