Overseeing Estates & Facilities services across the Canterbury, Medway and Tunbridge Wells Campuses. Reporting to the Director, Facilities and Commercial Services, you will be accountable for ensuring optimal physical operations of buildings and services to students, staff and visitors, and for managing Housekeeping and Waste Services across the university.
Key responsibilities include:
- Gaining comprehensive knowledge of campus buildings and controls
- Ensuring best-value and sustainable performance
- Managing waste figures and housekeeping teams
- Maintaining ISO14001 environmental standards
- Supporting Open Days and university events
- Coordinating with outsourced housekeeping at Medway and Tunbridge Wells
Who are we looking for?
Experienced senior Facilities or Commercial manager with excellent communication skills and strong problem‑solving abilities. Must be able to build effective relationships across the university, manage a varied workload, and work flexibly across campuses.
How will you work?
Flexible working arrangements are supported wherever possible. Campus attendance will vary, with an even balance between on‑campus and off‑campus time, depending on service requirements. Canterbury‑based with regular travel to Medway and Tunbridge Wells.
