Volunteer Experience Manager in Canterbury

The Volunteer Experience Manager will provide strategic direction for the Cathedral's overall volunteer programme, ensuring it is rooted in the Cathedral's values and vision. They will champion an outstanding volunteer experience, creating a culture where volunteers feel welcome, valued, supported and inspired. Through effective recruitment, training, communication and recognition, they will enable volunteers to contribute confidently and meaningfully to the life and work of the Cathedral.

This post will lead on all operational aspects of Canterbury Cathedrals volunteer programme, working towards a diverse and inclusive team of volunteers within a wide range of roles, making use of their expertise and passion.

The post holder will bring extensive experience of working with volunteers and a strong understanding of volunteering best practice. They will champion collaborative working, building strong relationships with volunteers, colleagues and stakeholders, helping to create an inclusive, rewarding and future-focused volunteering experience that enables everyone to participate, contribute and thrive.
