As a Deputy Lay Clerk, you will bring your voice to one of the world's most iconic Cathedrals. We're looking for talented and reliable singers to join us, stepping in to support our renowned Cathedral Choir at services, rehearsals and special events. If you're a confident performer with excellent sight-reading skills and a passion for choral music, this is your chance to sing at the heart of a globally recognised centre of worship and music.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the highest musical standards in both ensemble and solo singing
  • Contributing to a professional, respectful and prayerful worship environment
  • Working closely with our Director of Music and choir team

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding vocal ability and strong musicianship
  • Excellent sight-reading skills
  • Experience as a professional musician
  • Reliability, flexibility and a professional attitude
  • An appreciation of Cathedral worship and music traditions

Desirable:

  • Experience in Anglican service music (including psalms)
  • Formal singing qualifications or degree-level study
