We are seeking 2x dedicated and professional Cathedral Constable, on a casual fixed term basis, until Sept-26 to join its constabulary team. This is a rare opportunity to work within one of the worlds most iconic sacred spaces, ensuring the safety, security, and dignity of the Cathedral precincts.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting members of the public as part of the Ministry of Welcome.
- Providing protection to all residents, staff and visitors to the Cathedral and its Precincts within Constabulary training guidelines and Operating procedures.
- Follow all relevant protocols in respect of Safeguarding.
- Maintaining Good Order within the Cathedral and its Precincts.
- Working closely with the Kings School Security team.
- Liaising with Kent Police teams with regards to external incidents and issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents in reports, statements and notebooks.
- Communicating effectively in highly emotive and/or conflict situations.
- Monitoring the Cathedral CCTV system.
- Successful candidate will be expected to complete training to become attested and will be fully supported to achieve this.
