Cantello Tayler Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client based in Camberley, Surrey, for an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Accountant Apprentice to join a progressive and growing accountancy practice. This role offers full support towards studying the AAT qualification, alongside hands‐on experience across a broad range of accounting and finance duties. Ideal for a school leaver or early-career candidate looking to build a long‐term career in accountancy.
Office based, Full Time - 37.5 hours per week (Mon‐Fri, 9.00am‐5.30pm)
Key Responsibilities- Bookkeeping to trial balance
- Preparing VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Supporting payroll processing and personal tax returns
- Assisting with audits
- Helping to document and improve systems and procedures
- General accounting and finance support as required
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 6 or above preferred)
- A Levels preferred (including Mathematics)
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Motivated, proactive and keen to learn
- Able to work accurately to deadlines
- Formal AAT apprenticeship provided
- Opportunity to progress to ACA or ACCA qualification
- Broad exposure to practice and industry-style work
