Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Special Educational Needs Team. The role will include supporting students in lessons, working alongside the teacher to adapt resources and teaching methods to support students to achieve and make progress. It may also include 1:1 or small group interventions or mentoring focusing on different learning or social needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide learning and care support on a 1:1, small group and in class basis.
- Support teachers in adapting resources and teaching methods for Special Educational Needs students.
- Deliver one‑to‑one or small group interventions and mentoring to address varying learning or social needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to promote high quality teaching and learning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and motivational skills.
- A passion for improving students’ lives and opportunities.
- High levels of ambition and drive for outstanding performance from staff and students.
- Good communication and IT skills and a high level of literacy and numeracy.
