What we are looking for
- Experience: 3+ years of post-graduate experience, typically following an analyst program at Bulge Bracket/Boutique Investment Bank/Private Equity/Credit Fund/other M practical knowledge of financial databases such as FactSet preferred. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in an additional European language; however, this is not a mandatory requirement.
Key responsibilities
- Support origination of potential transactions by identifying target companies, engaging stakeholders, tracking assets and sponsor activity, analysing investment theses, researching markets, and participating in calls and meetings.
- Prepare and ensure timely delivery of marketing materials, maintain quality of analysts’ outputs, and identify relevant financial inputs and valuation metrics.
- Support execution of mandated transactions by acting as the project lead, coordinating due diligence and execution processes, preparing financial analyses and operating models, transaction materials, and coordinating with clients, management, and advisers.
- Support Merchant Banking investment/fundraising by interactions with LPs, placement agents, and advisers, and preparing related materials and documentation.
- Manage and train junior staff by instilling best practices, providing hands-on teaching, supervising technical analyses, organizing training sessions, and advising on their development.
- Provide senior support by briefing on relevant updates, forming situational views, and creating stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Cover sponsors and advisers by monitoring key companies, understanding the sponsor ecosystem, building relationships with sponsor teams, and nurturing adviser connections.
