Our client is 100% New Zealand owned, specialising in the independent manufacturing of quality detergents and sanitisers for the Dairy, Hospitality, Food Processing and Farm Retail markets in New Zealand. They are after a motivated 2IC to assist with production and dispatch.
About the Role:
You’ll work closely with the site manager to keep daily operations running smoothly. This role offers plenty of variety – from assisting with production workflows and supervising staff, to loading/unloading trucks and handling dispatch paperwork. It’s a position where you’ll need to lead by example, communicate well, and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations across production and logistics
- Supervise and coordinate staff on the floor
- Assist with freight manifesting, dispatch, and other paperwork
- Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks (F endorsement required)
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and productive work environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Current F endorsement and OSH forklift certification
- Ability to work Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing environments
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate a team
- Reliable, hands-on, and willing to get involved in physical work
- Experience with dispatching processes
- Good communication skills
