Warehouse & Dispatch assistant in Canterbury

Be part of a company powering the future of transport. Our client Designs and manufactures electric vehicle (EV) charging systems and are looking for a reliable Dispatch/Warehouse assistant to support their growing operations.
This is a hands-on position responsible for coordinating the dispatch of finished goods, managing warehouse tasks, and ensuring orders are accurately prepared and shipped on time. You'll play a key role in keeping our production and delivery processes running smoothly, including supporting both domestic and international shipments.
Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and dispatch EV charger orders
• Operate a forklift to move stock and finished goods safely (reach)
• Prepare and manage dispatch documentation and paperwork
• Coordinate domestic and international freight shipments
• Prepare export documentation and ensure compliance with shipping requirements
• Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and transport providers
• Receive and store incoming goods
• Perform stock control and inventory checks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, dispatch, or logistics experience
• Knowledge of international shipping processes
• Experience dealing with freight providers and coordinating shipments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork
• Valid forklift licence and experience operating forklifts (Reach)
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
