We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Labourer to join our team. This role involves the safe handling and mixing of chemicals, requiring a high level of attention to detail and strict adherence to workplace procedures.
Our client is 100% New Zealand owned, specialising in the independent manufacturing of quality detergents and sanitisers for the Dairy, Hospitality, Food Processing and Farm Retail markets in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mixing chemicals according to specified formulations and instructions
- Reading and following work orders and safety procedures accurately
- Handling acids, alkalis, and other chemicals safely
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Understanding of the hazards associated with chemical handling, including the risks of mixing incompatible substances
- Physically fit and capable of lifting containers weighing up to 30kg
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where wet conditions may be present due to regular washdowns
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
What you need:
- Ability to work between 7am-5pm Monday-Friday
- Willingness to learn
- Comfortable with physical production work
- Reliable transport
- A good attitude
