Join an established manufacturing company in Hornby, working on site producing high-quality precast concrete products for our rural and infrastructure customers. This role is not just limited to precast concrete products; you could become part of the team in the precast, pipe or tank factory.
Requirements and Skills:
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for long periods.
- Skills: Proficiency with hand/power tools, and ability to read plans would be an advantage.
- Safety: Strong focus on health and safety protocols.
What you will be doing:
- Mould Preparation: Setting up, cleaning, and oiling moulds.
- Placing Reinforcement: Placing reinforcement, or reinforcement cages into moulds.
- Placing Concrete: Pouring, vibrating, screeding and trowelling concrete.
- Stripping & Finishing: Removing finished concrete products from the moulds and doing any remedial required.
- Quality Control: Checking dimensions and ensuring compliance within specifications.
- Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
