Our leading manufacturing client designs and manufactures some of the most advanced marine propulsion systems in use today and is at the forefront of waterjet propulsion technology. With a reputation for innovation, quality, and engineering excellence, they supply products to customers around the globe. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their Christchurch manufacturing team on the afternoon shift.

Shift Details
- Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 11:30pm (other shifts on offer)
- Afternoon shift allowances apply
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly of precision-engineered components and units for waterjet and hydraulic assemblies
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Installing, aligning, and testing mechanical components
- Diagnosing and rectifying assembly issues
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- Completing quality inspections throughout the assembly process
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of safety and workmanship
About You
- A recognized Mechanical Engineering trade qualification
- Previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter/assembler in a manufacturing, engineering, marine, heavy industrial, or similar environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work with hydraulic systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
