Our leading manufacturing client designs and manufactures some of the most advanced marine propulsion systems in use today and is at the forefront of waterjet propulsion technology. With a reputation for innovation, quality, and engineering excellence, they supply products to customers around the globe.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking motivated Foundry Trade Assistants and Process workers to join the team.
This position would suit someone seeking an entry-level engineering trade role who is keen to establish a career in the engineering or metal casting industry. Candidates will ideally have completed a pre-trade qualification, demonstrate a strong mechanical interest, or have experience using hand tools.
ROLE DUTIES
In this role, you will process metal castings using grinders and other power tools, as well as perform water blasting to remove sand moulds and refine castings. You will also repair minor defects and surface porosity to ensure high-quality finished products. This is a hands-on role that involves the regular use of a range of tools and daily manual handling tasks within a metal casting and foundry environment.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Good attention to detail and pride yourself on quality of work.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Commitment and willingness to work with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Proven hand tool experience and metalwork experience.
  • Good physical fitness
