We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Foundation Form Workers to join a busy team working across residential and light commercial foundation projects throughout Christchurch. This is a great opportunity for people with experience in boxing, formwork, foundations, concrete or general construction who are looking for consistent work and the opportunity to become part of an established team.
Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience: Experience in foundations, boxing/formwork, concrete, civil or general construction is advantageous.
- Skills: Ability to use hand and power tools, follow plans and measurements, and work safely and accurately.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy lifting, work outdoors and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Safety: Strong focus on health and safety practices and maintaining a safe worksite.
- Attitude: Reliable, hardworking, willing to learn and able to work well as part of a team.
- Driver's Licence: A current driver's licence is advantageous.
What you will be doing:
- Foundation Preparation: Preparing work areas and getting sites ready for foundation construction.
- Boxing/Formwork: Setting up, measuring, cutting and installing boxing/formwork for residential and light commercial foundations.
- Reinforcement: Assisting with the placement and tying of reinforcing steel as required.
- Concrete Work: Assisting with concrete pours, placing, vibrating, screeding and finishing.
- Stripping & Finishing: Removing boxing and completing finishing and remedial work as required.
- Site Clean-up: Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Team Support: Working alongside experienced tradespeople and labourers to ensure projects are completed safely and to a high standard.
