We're looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on Dispatch/Storesperson to join our clients team in Hornby.

This is a key role within the roofing manufacturing business, responsible for ensuring orders are picked and dispatched accurately, customers orders are loaded safely and efficiently, stock is well managed, and out-of-town deliveries run smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Loading customer vehicles, including operating a gantry crane
  • Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate stock control across all components
  • Keeping the warehouse and yard organised and running efficiently
  • Taking ownership of the layout and design of their new caged stock area
  • Coordinating the logistics and scheduling of all out-of-town deliveries
  • Working closely with the manufacturing and sales teams to ensure orders are ready when required
  • Ensuring products are loaded, secured, and dispatched safely
  • Identifying ways to improve warehouse organisation, stock management, and delivery efficiency
  • Maintaining a high standard of health and safety across the warehouse and loading areas


We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
  • Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
  • Physically fit and happy to be active throughout the day
  • Confident operating forklifts or gantry crane (licenses helpful)
  • Experienced with stock control, warehousing, logistics, or dispatch (preferred)
  • Comfortable using a computer for stock and delivery management
  • A clear communicator who works well with customers and the wider team
  • Safety-conscious, particularly around lifting equipment and vehicle loading
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities
