Our client, Davin Industries, is a leading sheet metal fabrication and batch manufacturing company based in Bromley, Christchurch, and they’re looking for a reliable Dispatch Assistant to join their busy warehouse and logistics team.
ABOUT THE ROLE: You’ll be responsible for assisting with the smooth and accurate dispatch of a variety of products, ensuring everything is packed, labelled, and ready for delivery. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail and good teamwork.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
- Operate forklifts safely (current OSH certificate required)
- Check product numbers, labels, and quantities against delivery notes
- Wrap pallets and assist with building or adjusting pallet sizes for large products
- Keep track of product locations and maintain accurate stock records
- Use company systems for dispatch and record-keeping (basic computer skills an advantage)

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good computing skills
- Current OSH forklift certification (essential)
- Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing, or manufacturing
