We are working with an established Hard FM & Projects contractor to appoint a Divisional Director. You will hold full strategic and operational responsibility for the business including P&L ownership, service delivery, compliance, commercial performance, and growth. The role will be equally split between operational leadership, compliance and productivity but will also have a large element of business growth and strategic expansion.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Define and execute the Hard FM business strategy aligned with overall company objectives
  • Lead long-term planning, investment decisions, and market positioning
  • Identify and develop new service lines, sectors, and growth opportunities within new and existing clients
  • Harness and develop a data and tech platform to drive productivity and efficiency
  • Represent the Hard FM business at board level and with key stakeholders
  • Oversee delivery of hard FM services including M&E, HVAC, electrical, gas, water, fire & life safety, building fabric, and statutory compliance
  • Ensure consistent service quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Implement robust governance, reporting, and performance management frameworks
  • Drive standardisation and best practice across contracts and regions
  • Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin control
  • Drive revenue growth through contract renewals, upselling, and new business wins
  • Lead pricing, bid strategy, and commercial negotiations for major contracts
  • Manage cost control, supply chain performance, and capital expenditure
  • Develop and foster long term strategic partnerships with senior & exec level customers
  • Work closely with the work winning function to identify and develop business growth projects
  • Cultivate a best in class delivery culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the management and delivery team
