We are working with an established Hard FM & Projects contractor to appoint a Divisional Director. You will hold full strategic and operational responsibility for the business including P&L ownership, service delivery, compliance, commercial performance, and growth. The role will be equally split between operational leadership, compliance and productivity but will also have a large element of business growth and strategic expansion.
Key accountabilities include:
- Define and execute the Hard FM business strategy aligned with overall company objectives
- Lead long-term planning, investment decisions, and market positioning
- Identify and develop new service lines, sectors, and growth opportunities within new and existing clients
- Harness and develop a data and tech platform to drive productivity and efficiency
- Represent the Hard FM business at board level and with key stakeholders
- Oversee delivery of hard FM services including M&E, HVAC, electrical, gas, water, fire & life safety, building fabric, and statutory compliance
- Ensure consistent service quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Implement robust governance, reporting, and performance management frameworks
- Drive standardisation and best practice across contracts and regions
- Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin control
- Drive revenue growth through contract renewals, upselling, and new business wins
- Lead pricing, bid strategy, and commercial negotiations for major contracts
- Manage cost control, supply chain performance, and capital expenditure
- Develop and foster long term strategic partnerships with senior & exec level customers
- Work closely with the work winning function to identify and develop business growth projects
- Cultivate a best in class delivery culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the management and delivery team
