Delivery Director – Projects & Facilities Services
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of complex projects within the facilities services and built environment sectors.
Reporting into the executive leadership team, the Delivery Director will take overall responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance, client relationships and operational excellence, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest standards.
This is a senior leadership role requiring a commercially astute operator who can lead teams, strengthen delivery capability and support the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive ownership of a portfolio of complex projects and programmes.
- Accountability for revenue, margin, cash, forecasting and overall commercial performance.
- Lead and develop senior project, operational and technical teams.
- Establish robust governance across programme, commercial, risk and delivery performance.
- Build trusted relationships with key clients and senior stakeholders.
- Provide executive oversight and intervention across major or business-critical projects.
- Ensure projects are successfully delivered within live facilities and operational environments.
- Drive consistent standards across health & safety, quality, compliance and customer experience.
- Work closely with commercial, operations and business development teams to identify opportunities for growth.
- Support bids, mobilisations and the development of new project opportunities.
- Build the organisational capability, structure and leadership required to support future growth.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an established senior leader from the facilities management, engineering services, projects or wider built environment sector, with:
- A strong track record of leading significant project portfolios.
- Full commercial and P&L accountability.
- Experience delivering complex projects within live operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of building services, engineering and/or M&E projects.
- Excellent commercial, contractual and risk management capability.
- The credibility to operate with executive-level clients and stakeholders.
- A demonstrable track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- A commercial, entrepreneurial and growth-focused leadership style.
