We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager (Maternity Cover) to join Canopy by Hilton London City.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager (Sales Enthusiast) will be responsible for sourcing new MICE, Groups, Corporate transient business through customer sales calls, presentations, site visits, Fam Trips, attending tradeshows, action plans, negotiating rates/contracts to increase and maintain a solid customer base.
About the role
- Proactively sourcing MICE, Groups, Corporate transient business within existing and new clients.
- Within established parameters, quote and negotiate rates with customers, handle and follow up on inquiries, proposals and contracts and RFPs within the Hilton guidelines.
- Arrange and carry out site inspections with clients, support FAM Trips.
- Keep Sales database updated with clients profiles, sales activities, monthly figures.
- Maintain a strong liaison between Sales, Marketing, Reservations/Reactive Sales and Operations to ensure all VIPs and preferred accounts are managed accordingly.
- As directed, participate in domestic trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
About the candidate
We are looking for a motivated Sales Enthusiast who we anticipate will have experience in a similar role. In addition, you will need to demonstrate:
- Proficient user Microsoft Office programmes especially Excel and Power Point.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel Sales.
- Experience in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Consistently positive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Must be willing to engage on LinkedIn by creating posts after Fam Trips/events.
- Ability to collaborate and be able to work effectively as a part of a team or independently.
- Flexibility in working time, if required.
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK to be eligible for this role.
