The Underwriting Governance team provides challenge and oversight over the underwriting control framework and is responsible for managing the day-to-day technical underwriting governance activities of the Canopius Group business, ensuring that the Underwriting Governance Framework is adequately embedded and adhered to. This role will give the rare opportunity to learn about how Underwriting is managed across multiple products and regions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a “can do” attitude to join our productive team. The Underwriting Governance Analyst role is an integral part of our team, working alongside the Underwriting Governance Analysts and reporting into the Head of Underwriting Governance.
As an Underwriting Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for the oversight and ongoing development of the underwriting control framework for Canopius, working closely with other areas of the business.

- Knowledge and understanding of Underwriting frameworks and the Lloyd’s Principles
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining strong control environments.
- Previous experience in the underwriting / Underwriting governance arena or assurance within the insurance industry is preferred
- Strong MS Office skills (preferably Excel)
- Must be a team ‘player’ and work for the good of the team as well as individually
- Must be organised able to manage your own workload and tasks with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
