As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will support the UK Risk Team in delivering a range of risk management activities across defined areas of the UK business and risk framework within a dynamic and expanding (re)insurance firm. Reporting to the UK Head of Risk, and working within established risk frameworks and methodologies, you will contribute to the application and ongoing effectiveness of the risk framework, provide risk analysis, and support the promotion of a strong risk culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing application of the UK risk and control framework, highlighting potential areas for enhancement through analysis and feedback.
  • Work with first line teams to support the identification and assessment of risks, providing analysis to inform ongoing monitoring.
  • Maintain the UK risk register, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of risks and controls.
  • Support the delivery of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), and targeted risk reviews, including preparing materials and supporting workshops.
  • Support investigations into risk events, including root cause analysis and tracking of remediation actions.
  • Analyse risk data to identify trends, emerging risks, and areas for management attention, escalating findings as appropriate.
  • Prepare analytical inputs and supporting materials for risk reporting, including contributions to internal risk reporting and governance materials.
  • Support horizon scanning activities and identification of emerging risks under established frameworks.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) in line with risk appetite.
  • Support the use and testing of analytical tools (including AI-enabled approaches) to enhance risk analysis and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with Group Risk on specific activities, where required, to support the consistent application of established risk processes.
  • And other ad hoc duties as required.
