The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a newly created role in a dynamic team within Canopius’ fast-paced and rapidly expanding international insurance business.

From day one, you will contribute to the development of Canopius’ strategic direction and delivery, interacting with a wide range of business stakeholders on various projects and topics.

The Strategy & Foresight Manager will support the creation and execution of key strategic projects, partner with the business to implement Canopius’s Innovation Framework, and support the Strategic Planning programme and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends, embedding innovation across capabilities, underwriting, and regional units.
• Facilitate the execution of innovation ideas, including business case development and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring projects to fruition.
• Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate project success and refine strategies accordingly.
• Engage stakeholders to promote a culture of innovation and secure buy-in for initiatives.
• Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and industry trends.
• Assist in creating next-generation insurance products for emerging risks.
• Provide updates on critical items to the Strategy Director.
• Support the delivery of the Strategic Planning programme and operational project management.

Skills and Experience

• Degree-level education.
• Experience in the Insurance Industry or Consulting with Insurance Clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Passion for innovation, with understanding of emerging trends and technologies in insurance.
• Strong collaborator with excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
